A personalised approach to weight, metabolism & long-term health — without another restrictive diet
Weight and metabolic health are rarely as simple as “eat less and exercise more”. Your food intake matters, but so can your sleep, stress, activity levels, muscle mass, life stage, medications, health history and metabolic markers. At Aster for Health, we look at the bigger picture and develop realistic nutrition and lifestyle strategies around your health, your goals and your life..
More than a number on the scales
You may be looking for support with:
- Sustainable weight management
- Insulin resistance
- Blood glucose management
- Metabolic health
- Cholesterol or triglycerides out of balance
- Fatty liver / metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease
- Nutrition through perimenopause and menopause
- Improving dietary quality
- Building healthier eating habits
- Maintaining muscle while losing weight
- Nutrition alongside an appropriate exercise program
- Improving long-term health and wellbeing
Our focus is on sustainable change rather than short-term dieting.
Your results are more than numbers on a page — By looking at pathology alongside your nutrition, symptoms and health history, we can build a clearer picture of what may be influencing your health & where nutrition can make a meaningful difference.
Nutrition and movement working together
As both a tertiary-qualified Clinical Nutritionist and qualified fitness coach, I can consider nutrition and movement together rather than treating them as completely separate parts of your health. That may include looking at protein and overall nutrient intake, meal structure, fibre, carbohydrates and fats, resistance exercise, everyday movement, sleep and recovery.
Your plan is based on where you are now — not where someone thinks you “should” be…
Your health is more than your weight
Where relevant, we can also review existing pathology such as blood glucose, HbA1c, cholesterol, triglycerides, iron, B12, vitamin D and other available health markers within the scope of nutrition practice. This helps us focus on meaningful health outcomes rather than relying solely on the number on the scales.
What happens at your first appointment?
We’ll take time to understand your goals, current eating patterns, weight history, relationship with food, lifestyle, movement, sleep, stress, medications, supplements and relevant pathology.
