A Clinical Nutritionist is trained to assess nutrition, diet, lifestyle and health history and use this information to develop personalised nutrition strategies. At Aster for Health, I take a whole-person approach, considering your food intake alongside factors such as lifestyle, sleep, stress, movement, medications, supplements, health history and relevant pathology.
People seek nutrition support for many different reasons. At Aster, areas of interest include gut and digestive health, weight and metabolic health, neurodiversity and restrictive eating, nutrient adequacy, healthy ageing, food intolerances, NDIS nutrition support and nutrition alongside chronic health concerns. You don’t need to know exactly what you need before booking. That’s something we can work through together.
No. Private clients can book directly with Aster for Health without a referral. If another healthcare professional is involved in your care, I’m also happy to collaborate with them where appropriate and with your consent.
Your initial consultation is 90 minutes, giving us time to properly explore your health concerns and goals.
We’ll discuss your health history, current symptoms, eating patterns, lifestyle, medications and supplements, relevant pathology and what you’d most like support with. From there, we’ll identify your priorities and develop practical, personalised recommendations designed around your individual needs and everyday life.
Where appropriate, functional testing may be discussed if it could provide useful information to guide nutritional care. Testing isn’t recommended simply because it’s available. We’ll first consider whether a particular test is relevant to your concerns and whether the result is likely to meaningfully influence your nutrition plan before ordering it.
Not necessarily. Depends on your goals and requests. Rather than relying on generic meal plans, I focus on helping you develop practical strategies that work with your preferences, lifestyle, health needs and goals. For some people, structured meal ideas or planning resources may be useful. For others, smaller changes to existing eating patterns may be more realistic and sustainable.
Not necessarily. Food and nutrition are considered first, with supplements recommended only where they may be appropriate for your individual needs or if guaranteed therapeutic doses need to be reached. Any recommendations take into account relevant health information, medications and other supplements you may already be using.
This varies depending on your goals, health concerns and the type of support you need. Some people may only require a small number of appointments, while others benefit from ongoing support as their needs and goals evolve.
We’ll discuss what makes sense for you rather than locking you into an unnecessary appointment schedule.
If you have recent pathology results relevant to your health concerns, you’re welcome to bring them to your appointment. Pathology can provide useful additional information when considered alongside your symptoms, health history, nutrition and lifestyle. If you don’t have recent results, that’s completely fine. Testing isn’t automatically required to work with a Clinical Nutritionist.

I hold a Bachelor of Health Science in Clinical Nutrition and am a Certified Practising Nutritionist (CPN). My approach incorporates personalised nutrition assessment, dietary and lifestyle strategies and relevant pathology within my professional scope.
If your needs would be better supported by an Accredited Practising Dietitian or another healthcare professional, I’ll let you know and recommend appropriate referral where possible.
