Personalised & practical nutrition support built around your individual needs
Aster for Health is a registered NDIS provider offering support for clients who are experiencing challenges with eating, nutrition, food-related skills or ability to meet their nutritional needs.
Our approach is individualised, respectful and focused on meaningful everyday outcomes — because support should work in real life, not just on paper.
How nutrition support may help
Depending on the client’s needs and NDIS goals, support may include:
- Restricted or selective eating
- Sensory-related food challenges
- Autism and nutrition
- ADHD and nutrition
- ARFID-related nutritional support
- Improving nutritional adequacy within ‘safe’ foods
- Meal and snack structure
- Food planning and preparation skills
- Building confidence and independence around food
- Practical nutrition education
- Supporting carers and families
- Nutrition strategies that complement other allied-health supports
Recommendations are tailored to the client’s needs, abilities, preferences, environment and goals.

Working with your support team
Good NDIS support is collaborative. With appropriate consent, Aster can work alongside families, carers, support coordinators and relevant healthcare and allied-health professionals to help provide consistent, person-centred support.
This may include collaboration with occupational therapists, speech pathologists, psychologists, behaviour support practitioners, physiotherapists, exercise physiologists, GPs and other members of the participant’s care team.
Depending on the client’s needs and service availability, support may be provided through clinic appointments, Telehealth and eligible home or community-based appointments. This can allow strategies to be developed around the client’s actual routines and environment rather than relying solely on what happens during a clinic appointment.
What happens before we begin?
Every client is different. A free initial conversation gives us an opportunity to discuss the client’s needs, NDIS goals and current supports and determine whether Aster’s service is appropriate. If we’re a suitable fit, we can then discuss the most appropriate next steps..
